2. Nile

If you're into world history, you probably already know of the Nile river's significance in Ancient Egypt. It was the center of Egyptian life, as it provided water for drinking, food, building and transportation. Today, it is cherished by Cairo's natives as a place for late night chats, fun and parties. You can ride on the markab, a small boat, to cruise the Nile.  The best time to do this is at night, as the days are hot and humid. Nile
