Second to diamonds, makeup is a girl's best friend. But with various TSA regulations, you have to limit your choices to few. You don't want to end up throwing away expensive concealer in the security line.
hen traveling, it's wise to keep it simple. Don't cake-face. Less is more. In light of this philosophy, I've come up with a few makeup essentials that are travel-friendly and not over-the-top.
1. MAC mineral foundation
This foundation by MAC is perfect for travel as it hides blemishes without making it look like you are even wearing makeup. It also moisturizes your face, which is useful if you are traveling to cold, or dry areas.
2. Naked palette
Urban Decay's Naked palette is my favorite eyeshadow. It includes natural, skin-tone colors that make for a flawless look. If you're going out for a night on the town, you should try a smokey eye by blending a couple of the shadows together.
3. bareMinerals mascara
This mascara does wonders with eyelashes. Your eyelashes won't clump up with the Flawless Definition mascara brush. Go ahead, bat those bold eyelashes.
4. Baby Lips
The reason why I recommend a colored lip balm like Baby Lips over a lipstick is because it's more versatile. Let's be real, you are going to be on long flights and touring the city all day. Although the red lip classic is bold and trendy -- thanks TSwift -- it requires some maintenance. You don't want to be walking around an exotic country with faded lips. Baby Lips will give you the color you want, without the extra work.
5. Sephora eyeliner pencil
Eyeliner is a makeup staple, whether you use it on the bottom or the top. Using eyeliner after a long flight can make all the difference in the world. You definitely won't look like you came out of The Walking Dead.
6. Too Faced bronzer
I am not much of a blush girl, I tend to lean more toward bronzer. This Too Faced bronzer is matte, smooth and makes for a radiant glow.
